Unfortunately a celebrant can not yet legally marry a couple in England but this is under review. Most couples have an admin day to get the marriage registered by a registrar. This is a great way to do things as you can get all the legal parts done then have a lovely wedding day to celebrate in the venue of your choice in the way that you want!
A celebrant can create a totally personalised ceremony for you. A celebrant will take time to get to know you and write a script which tells your love story with personalised vows.
A registrar will have a set script in order to cover all the legalities.
